Shopping Tips For Your Next Divisoria Trip
Ford EcoSport Style Challenge
Growing up, my mom would always take us to visit my grand parents who lived in Sampaloc, Manila. As a treat, we would take a jeepney to Quiapo or Divisoria on weekends and that’s where the magic began. Divisoria is one of my most favorite places to shop! Aside from it being known to have very cheap finds, their pieces are also surprisingly up to date with what you currently see in retail stores. So when I was tapped by Ford Philippines to do a “Style Challenge” in Divisoria – I was like BRING IT.
Road trip to Sta. Rosa Food Park
A week before the challenge, I was given the opportunity to try out one of Ford’s coveted units – the Ecosport! I personally prefer SUVs over sedans because I feel more secure when I drive and I’m quite tall so leg room is very important for me. I loaned this white unit, took it everywhere – even a road trip all the way to the new food park in Sta. Rosa!
There are so many things I love about this unit. Aside from its spacious interiors, I love how the aircon is sooo cold even under scorching heat in daytime. Safe to say, it was an easy drive all the way down South! Here are some photos we took at the food park:

This is it! We invited media guests from the motoring industry to join and I challenged them to find the best tropical road trip OOTD in 168 with a budget of … Php1,200! It may be big for some and small for others but we wanted them to have a reasonable amount to buy an ENTIRE outfit. After the challenge, I was sooo amazed with the outfits they put together given the budget. The winner of the challenge was Angel Rivero! Here are some of my tips to find the best finds in 168:

- Keep an eye out for the SALE racks!
168 Mall is known for its insanely cheap finds so what MORE when these pieces for on sale?! We did the challenge when summer season was wrapping up so there were a lot of resort wear and hats for sale.

2. The higher the floor, the cheaper the rent which means…
Applying the law of supply and demand, the more “traffic” areas and prime areas cost higher rent. These are the ones by the entrances and on the first floor. Don’t be afraid to explore the higher levels because you’ll be surprised with what you’ll see in the semi-hidden stalls in far corners.

3. Scout for source keywords such as “Bangkok” and “Taiwan”
Clothes from this area are insanely cheap compared to the ones sourced in Korea.
