NIVEA Day 2 Getting Courage To Come Closer
Balesin Island Club
Picture time comes and it’s all smiles but one reaction is common: we all freak out when the camera has flash! I wonder why? It is cos of oil or uneven skin tone? One thing’s for sure: having great skin is essential if you want to be more confident and get closer. NIVEA shows us how! (And it had to be on this beautiful island.)
NIVEA Welcome Dinner
To wrap up Day 1, we gathering in a pleasant evening in one of the resorts as the NIVEA team shared about the brand history. I enjoyed the videos and I love how one product remains constant every year: the NIVEA Creme in a blue tin. “NIVEA revolutionized skincare when it released NIVEA Creme back in 1911. It was the first ever all-in-one moisturizer in the world. Today, our roster of products has grown more than tenfold. Why? Because people’s needs change. And together with that, we also grow; we evolve to make sure that we provide everyone the best solution that science can offer, at the best price that we can provide.”
Yuki Tansengco | Thrifted colorful cover-up
Speaking of growth, NIVEA stands strong and shows no signs of slowing down with it’s new products and innovations. I was so excited to learn more about this brand! After a very successful day 1, we kicked off day 2 with a heavy breakfast in Mykonos. By then, we were already BFFs with our roomies and new friends from Day 1!
Makani Bikini Php1,600 | Costa Swimwear
We were told to wear something “sporty” for Day 2’s “NIVEA Amazing Race”. I couldn’t think of something more versatile than this suit from COSTA Swimwear! It doubles as a top and it’s halter design makes it easy to move around in.
I’ve always been on a lookout for nice fitting (sort of) boy leg bikini bottoms since I feel like the string-type can come off easily. This pair is perfect from the boy leg bottoms and bikini which I can re-use as a black crop top. To order, check out the available designs on the official Costa Swimwear Facebook or follow them on Instagram via @costa_swimwear!
Now, let the race begin! I belonged to “Team Kalokalike” aka the team of the extreme left headed by Ernie Lopez. At first, I panicked because I did not know my teammates personally. Thanks to Ernie’s natural charisma, we were all comfortable with each other after 10 minutes of initially meeting. The amazing race was such a fun experience and it definitely created new bonds! It was a great way to know your teammates, explore the island and armed with our sunscreen – ready to face the sun.
Nivea PR Session – How The Sun Sees You
We ranked in 3rd for the Amazing Race but I honestly felt like a winner with my new friends. A HUGE congrats to the organizers of NIVEA Come Closer and to the amazing ARC PR Team for effortlessly bringing a group of strangers (sort of) to an island and having them leave with memorable moments. So priceless! Now after getting closer with one another, time to take a closer look at the NIVEA product line through an afternoon PR sesh. This brand is so innovative!
Afternoon with Nivea | Contains HYDRA IQ
Speaking of innovations, did you know that one of the most noteworthy skincare innovations of the past decade was founded by NIVEA? Hydra IQ is a Nobel Prize winning scientific discovery-present in almost all NIVEA products, including NIVEA Lotion (Body), Soaps, Lip and Facial products. Simply put, they are the skin’s hydration channels; they help skin cells moisturize themselves by granting water molecules passage into and out of the cells. NIVEA products that contain Hydra IQ promise to deliver intensive and long-lasting moisturization from deep within the skin, resulting to smoother, suppler and more radiant complexion. Know what’s in your products!
NIVEA supports and strengthens families with a long-term CSR program
A brand with a heart. NIVEA works with the BDO Foundation by acting swiftly on calamity-affected rural areas such as Aklan and Western Samar. This year NIVEA encourages Filipino consumers to participate and support the NIVEA Give the Gift of Care campaign. For every NIVEA Baby product sold, NIVEA will donate a NIVEA Baby Caring product to babies born in selected government hospitals and health centers nationwide. The project aims to combine the strength of the brand and the support of the consumers to extend care to more Filipino families.
Yuki Tansengco and Cher Lui Pio | On Choosing The Right Sunscreen
Before, I’d only look at the SPF content but today I learned that having PA is equally as important cos it shields us from the harmful UVA rays. “NIVEA Sun provides more than sun protection. It offers the kind of peace of mind that only brands who’ve been around for more than 100 years can. All products under NIVEA Sun meets international standards and regulations for UVA and UVB filters as set by the European Union Cosmetics Directive,” Schwieger (Country Manager of Beiersdorf Philippines) says.
Jessica and Skye Yang
Look who joined us and came closer – PMAP models and siblings Jessica & Sky Yang. As a model, skincare is very important being exposed to multiple shoots in a day and make-up. These two definitely know how to take good care of their skin. Jessica even shares her new favorite product is the NIVEA Raspberry Lip Balm!
The NIVEA ladies dare Miguel Lasala of PMAP to check “How The Sun Sees You”
By encouraging people to take care of their skin better, they are able to feel more comfortable in their own skin and better connect with one another. The NIVEA Team showed us, through a ultra-violet camera, how the sun REALLY sees us and the importance of sunblock. MY OH MY – I am never skipping sunblock a day in my life! You can watch the video here.
Jenny Yrasuegui and Celine Gabriel-Lim of ARC PR with Trisha Concepcion and Jim Paredes
It was such a lovely afternoon of sharing knowledge and learning new things. A big thanks to the ARC PR Team especially to Jenny and Celine for taking care of us in each and every step. It’s like we instantly had a new set of friends and everyone was having fun! :) We had almost wished we didn’t have to leave the paradise called Balesin!
Athletes Mike Advincula, Michele Gumabao and Kito Zialcita
I’ll definitely miss seeing these faces as we head back to Manila the next day. The fun music can’t keep playing forever but it was so much fun while it lasted and this trip definitely stitched us closer! Thank you NIVEA and ARC PR for a memorable mid-week and congrats on the success of this event. Best one I’ve been so far! :)
Now you know, please don’t neglect your sun screen. Your 40-year old self will thank you for it.
